Become a Teacher through the
Fletcher Pilates Matwork Intensive.
The Fletcher Pilates® Matwork Intensive provides comprehensive Pilates Matwork education for teachers and movement professionals. Participants have the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the complete Fletcher Pilates Matwork syllabus, including the purpose, structure, and application of each exercise. Emphasis is placed on precise movement initiation, articulation, correct alignment, breath, and rhythmic flow, as well as appropriate modifications and progressions.
This Intensive supports the development of both technical clarity and a thoughtful approach to teaching Pilates Matwork, including private sessions, small groups, and larger Matwork or Magic Circle classes. Participants explore sequencing, transitions, and teaching strategies that reflect the expressive and lineage-based qualities unique to the Fletcher approach.
The Fletcher Pilates® Matwork Intensive is appropriate for individuals pursuing Pilates Matwork teacher training, as well as for those seeking continuing education to deepen their understanding of the Pilates method and refine their personal or professional practice.
The Fletcher Pilates® Matwork Intensive includes over 100 hours of focused study.
This Intensive covers the complete Fletcher Pilates® Matwork syllabus and emphasizes the signature transitions, rhythm, and continuity of movement that distinguish the Fletcher approach to Matwork.
Participants also receive access to the Fletcher Foundations Course, which explores four essential pillars—Movement, Anatomy, Teaching, and History. This foundational material provides historical and technical context, supporting informed, lineage-based study and preparing students for continued education and professional teaching within the Pilates industry.
In addition, participants study the use of the Magic Circle as a tool to enhance movement precision, awareness, and dynamic alignment, integrating it thoughtfully into Matwork teaching and practice.
