WHAT IS FLOORWORK?

Fletcher Floorwork® is a movement technique developed by Ron Fletcher, blending Pilates with modern dance, and breathwork. It emphasizes core strength, breath control, alignment, flexibility, and rhythmic flow. The floor-based exercises focus on deep abdominal engagement, joint mobility, and fluid movement, enhancing body awareness and overall movement quality.

"The more I practice and teach Fletcher Pilates, the more I discover another layer that deepens the movement experience. It’s truly the evolved science and art of Body Contrology. Thank you Joe, and thank you dear Ron"

Leona

The Fletcher Floorwork Course

“I have obtained a lot out of the course. I have found Fletcher fundamentals (ABCs) to be the best at establishing such a solid foundation for cueing posture and alignment and establishing correct movement (beginners to advanced). – I feel I have a deeper understanding of the work now.”

Anne

The Fletcher Floorwork Course

"I do not believe there is any other body of work out there that is better than Fletcher Pilates. It has everything needed for prevention, wellness, healing and wholeness in one package. And with the “much wants more”, there is that constant digging deeper and going beyond. And that in itself is a gift."

Adrian

The Fletcher Floorwork Course

"Fletcher Pilates helps me move genuinely, from a place of rhythm and flowing motion, where true articulation and engagement of the whole body is a must!"

"(Pilates) is about learning more about your body, getting in better touch with all its parts and setting up a communication system with it, trusting and loving it as your best friend and then using it correctly all the time"

-Ron Fletcher

Classical and Contemporary Pilates education evolved from the source

Fletcher Pilates is a leader in Comprehensive Pilates Education

Legacy Pilates education evolved from the source

The international Pilates revolution owes much of its momentum to Ron Fletcher. A 20-year student and protégé of Joseph and Clara Pilates, Fletcher’s organic, movement-based approach to the Pilates method has inspired generations of Pilates teachers and practitioners. As Fletcher Pilates continues to grow in popularity, so too grows the demand around the globe for Fletcher Pilates Teachers. Our school provides one of the most comprehensive and definitive international Pilates educational program of its kind and is the only program endorsed by Ron Fletcher, a first generation Pilates Master, professional dancer, and choreographer.

"Movement should be approached like life - with enthusiasm, joy and gratitude - for movement is life, and life is movement, and we get out of it what we put into it."

-Ron Fletcher
