WHAT IS TOWELWORK?
Fletcher Towelwork, a technique developed by Pilates master-teacher Ron Fletcher over the span of forty years, is a technique unique to Fletcher Pilates. It was initially designed to stabilize, balance and strengthen the shoulder girdle. Simple Towelwork exercises are suitable for beginners and can even be used as an effective home workout. Today, Fletcher Towelwork has expanded into a comprehensive movement program that can be performed either alone or combined with other Pilates mat and apparatus exercises making it useful for a wide range of skill levels. The Fletcher Towelwork program includes easy stabilizing and range of motion exercises as well as intricate movement patterns that challenge all levels of students and teachers.
